The following is 21 (out of 22) pages from an
unpublished 2099 story featuring Radian, a character first introduced in Doom 2099 #15-18. This is meant to
immediately follow the events of those issues. Since the story doesn't feature
any of the regular cast and is essentially a Radian story, this was probably
meant to either be a back-up for a double-sized issue (a-la the Feng Huang story
in #25) or (most likely) a story that would have featured in 2099 Unlimited. The
story is written by Terry Kavanagh whose first contributions to 2099 were in
2099 Unlimited. It should be noted that Radian's survival was hinted at in #18
despite the "Death of Radian" proclamation on the cover. Also in the letters
page of Doom 2099 # 20 where we were told "you haven't seen the last of Radian,"
not to mention a statement in the letter pages of Spider-Man 2099 stating they
had just received the first few pages of this story from artist Alcatena. Interesting to note is that
in this story Radian provides a slightly different explanation for his presence on Earth,
one that contradicts the explanation given in Doom 2099 #18. In Doom 2099 #18 he
states he is working for the Y'Lestja. In this story it seems like his own
people sent him to Earth to await the Y'lestja so he could provide them with the
experiences of his race. No mention is made of his preparing the way for the
Y'lestja's communion with the human race or acting as their agent. Images are
