Summary:
A local woman informs Doom that Dr. Strange has made himself available as a mentor and is seeking a pupil. Doom thanks the woman and briefly considers the idea however decides against it because Latveria is still recovering from the problem left by Zorba's rule.
Comments:
My luck with Dr. Strange does not seem to be good. I search for a long time to find this issue only for it to turn out to be a one page appearance that essentially retells the same EXACT scene that is in Fantastic Four #258! The scene seems to serve no purpose since Doom decides not to pursue the idea. My only conjecture would be that Roger Stern, also writer of Triumph and Torment, was already in the process of writing the Graphic novel and this was some sort of teaser. Puzzling is that Triumph and Torment did not come out until 1989. Even more puzzling is that while this scene is reproduced in the pages of Fantastic Four, it is reproduced 8 months later! Most puzzling....nevertheless, the Bottom Line: Skip It
