issue-10 vol. 2

Summary:
Doom uses a particle projector to disable the world's capacity to use Nuclear power.

Comments:
As Doom plots go, this one is a good one. This is the kind of Doom that I like to read. His actions are all rooted in his belief that the world will benefit from his acts. He sees that the world is not ready for Nuclear power and therefore he wants to take it away from them. The best written Doom is always when you can see that he has the best of intentions behind his megalomaniac plots. Also very interesting to note is a few of Doom's comments. He refers to Cloak and Dagger as the younger generation. This is significant because this issue was written the year that MARVEL was celebrating its 25th anniversary. It is rare for a character to acknowledge the passage of time. Dagger at first seems to disbelieve the existence of Dr. Doom. This was certainly a unique time in MARVEL history. You had both old and new heroes side by side. It makes you only want to look at MARVEL's history since the year 2000. How many young heroes are there? The FF, Hulk, and even the X-Men are all over thirty years old. I digress. Bottom Line: Buy It!
