Comments:
Way back when, I got an issue of Advance Comics, an old catalog of comics
that would also include features, one particular issue had a feature on the
early 90's start to the title flag, Midnight Sons. It included a showcase of the
new "Strange" going at it against none other than Dr. Doom. The idea of going
back to his mystical was cool and so I searched and searched for this issue.
Finally after many years I find it and what happens? God damn Doombot!!!!! The
issue is not bad. It is just a big letdown when you find out that its not the
real Doom. I originally did not know why Doom was not in Latveria since thanks
to Tom De Falco I was not following the regular Doom in favor of the much better
written Doom 2099. I subsequently discovered that Doom disappeared...again
[ask me again where I got the name for this period!]. In his absence
Nathaniel Richards took control of Latveria and carried on the charade that Doom
was in fact still around. Anyway, so what we have here is yet another senseless
Doombot issue. With nothing to make it particularly memorable,
Bottom Line: Skip It!
