Summary:
Just as the Secret Defenders surround the FF, Lyja and Sharon Ventura, they mysteriously vanish before their eyes. The FF reappear on the moon within the citadal of the Watcher. There the Watcher explains that Doom has stolen the cosmic power of the rogue Watcher, Aron. With a new suit of armor he could prove a threat to the whole universe. The team split into groups in order to cover more ground. Eventually, each group faces Doom and fails to defeat him though a gun which Reed devises damages his power absorbing armor. The Inhumans arrive and lend their powers to their battle. When Doom attacks again, Reed hands over his gun to Black Bolt so that he can power it with his vocal power. The cataclysmic power of his voice charging the gun overloads Doom's armor and he seemingly explodes. With the threat over, the Watcher returns the team home. In Latveria Doom staggers away from his transport platform after nearly being killed in the explosion of his power battery.

Comments:

As is usual for Tom De Falco' characterization of Doom, he is fueled with power and his thoughts are far away from his homeland of Latveria. Only two things are on his mind 1) power 2) kill the FF. Good things about this issue: a new variation on Doom's armor, the FF wear neat looking vests and carry big guns, and a cool kaliedoscope effect cover. Unfortunately the story is one dimensional despite its 3-Dish cover. Bottom Line: * out of 5
