Title - From Bad to Worse

Summary:
In the wake of the Great Disappearance, wherein people all across the universe seemingly disappear, Doom investigates the phenomena and finds a trail leading to the home of Dr. Strange. He finds Strange tending to a wounded Silver Surfer and then demands to know what he knows. When he refuses, suddenly Adam Warlock appears. Explains that Thanos has taken possession of the Infinity Gauntlet, an object of God-like power. Warlock states that the only chance the universe has is for the forces of good to rally under his leadership. Doom challenges his right to lead. Warlock states that only he has intimate knowledge of the workings of the Infinity Gems, the power behind the Gauntlet. Wave hits the universe causing earthquakes. The quakes reveal that structures all over are now falling to rubble.

Title - Preparations for War

Summary:
In the face of the universal disaster before him, Adam Warlock proceeds with his plan to gather an army to face Thanos. He gathers Avengers, X-men, and others. Doom once more challenges Warlock's leadership and once again he relinquishes. After bringing together his mortal forces, Warlock proceeds to enlist cosmic beings into the conflict as well. the Stranger, Epoch, Quasar, and even Galactus side with him. With all of his forces in place, Warlock unleashes them upon Thanos' floating space citadel.

Title - Cosmic Battle on the Edge of the Universe

Summary:
The banded heroes engage Thanos but one by one each of them is easily beaten. When Thor manages to momentarily stun Thanos, Doom uses the oppurtunity to try and take the Gauntlet for himself. However Thanos recovers and blasts Doom away. Finally only Captain America remains standing. As Thanos draw his fist back, ready for the kill, the Silver Surfer dashes by and tries to rip the Gauntlet off his hand. He fails.When Thanos realizes how close he came to losing his power, he clears everything away leaving his citedal as it was before the attack. With his first wave defeated, Warlock summons his cosmic allies, Eternity, the Stranger, Galactus, and others who then surround Thanos.

Title - Astral Conflagration

Summary:
Some of the most powerful cosmic beings in the universe challenge Thanos' hold of the Infinity Gauntlet. Their efforts to defeat him fail. With his great power, Thanos discards his physical being and manages to usurp Eternity's place as the very fabric of the universe. Thanos however forgets that the source of his power, the Gauntlet is still on his physical body. Nebula, the woman who claims to be Thanos' grand-daughter uses this chance to take the Gauntlet for herself. Instantly all power becomes hers. On Earth, Adam Warlock has Dr. Strange locate as many surviving heroes from their battle as possible. Doom is among those that he finds. Together with Thor, Drax, Firelord, and Hulk, they mount an attack on Nebula. With the Gauntlet, she easily captures them. She then faces Thanos who has returned with Dr. Strange and the Silver Surfer

Title - The Final Confrontation

Summary:
Before Adam Warlock takes the Gauntlet for himself, Nebula undoes the damage Thanos has done to the universe and returns everyone to where they were 24 hours before. Doom is returned to Latveria with no memory of the events which transpired.
Comments:
Although Doom's sole purpose is to challenge Warlock's authority, this is nonetheless a well written set of appearances. Not to mention a fantastic series. Of the three 'Infinity' events, this is my favorite. Keep a sharp eye out for Doom packing an assault rifle in issue #4! Bottom Line: *** out of 5
