Summary:

Namor investigates a terrorist attack on the US whose trail of evidence leads back to Atlantis. During the course of his investigation, Namor receives help from a mysterious informant.

 

Notes:

  • Short silhouette appearance only. Doom is not revealed to be Namor's secret ally until issue 6.

  • Doom has moles in SHIELD

  • Although it was done no doubt to attempt to keep his identity a secret, Doom is clearly not wearing his mask when communicating with Namor.

Namor's investigation takes him to Seattle, Washington. Along the way he contacts his mysterious informant.

Summary:

Although the terrorists have been found and punished, Atlantis remains a target of suspicion. Unwilling to allow any surface nation dictates terms to his people, Namor makes the radical decision of evacuating and destroying Atlantis. His people are to become sleepers, hiding among surface dwellers. The Atlantean army he takes with him to his only remaining ally, Doctor Doom.
