Summary:
Yearning to find his missing Lady Sif, Thor asks Heimdall if he has located her essence among those Asgardians who remain locked in mortal form. He reports that he has not found her, but instead he senses a growing darkness in the desert. Thor journeys to the location he indicates in order to investigate. There Thor finds an underground prison filled with humans with Asgard essences. Among the prisoners is a woman in a wedding dress who claims to recognize him. Suddenly the Destroyer appears and a battle ensues. Breaking away from the fight, Thor summons his power to release the Asgard essences from their hosts. Thor is then surprised to discover that Balder's essence was trapped within the Destroyer with no idea how he came to be there. Returning to the cells, he is also surprised to find that all the trapped Asgardians have fled leaving behind only the woman who recognized him. Hoping that at last he has found his Lady Sif, he is shocked to find that it is in fact Loki, reborn. Loki swears to have left behind his old ways. Thor warns that should he return to his old ways, he will not have a second chance. As Thor walks away, Loki's thoughts reveal that after Ragnarok he contacted Dr. Doom and arranged with him this trap so that Thor would unwittingly free the essences of his enemies and not realize it. These enemies will lie in waiting, until they are needed.

Summary:
Loki manages to resurrect Bor, the father of Odin. Appearing in Manhattan he creates havoc and attacks everything around him. Loki has cast a spell which alters his vision so that he only sees demons around him. When news reaches Thor that someone who appears to be Asgardian has suddenly appeared, he travels there to greet him. Bor sees only a demon claiming to have killed Odin, so he responds by attacking him. A colossal battle erupts enveloping the city. Back in Asgard, Loki tells Baldar of the news of Bor's return and the two race to reach the scene of battle before the two kill one another. They are too late. Just as they arrive, Thor has already delivered a killing blow. Having killed Bor, the first king of Asgard, Thor is punished with eternal exile from Asgard. Thor's exile leaves Baldar heavily distressed. Loki suggests to his fellow Asgardians that perhaps they should move some place more like their home, a place where they would be welcome. He suggests they move to Latveria.

Summary:
Balder and Loki meet with Doom to discuss allowing the Asgardians to live in Latveria. Doom offers them all the hospitality of Latveria: access to the lands, hunt, and free of the rules and laws of the US. Balder inquires about Thor and whether he would be welcome, arguing that since Latveria is not Asgard, Thor should be free to join them. Loki tells Balder that Asgard is where the King resides. Balder further raises tensions by asking Doom if then it is his plan to rename Latveria, Asgard. Doom becomes angry at the proposition. Loki tries to cool things by reminding Balder that Latveria and Asgard are no different, each has their own King.
