A patient who refuses to see any other doctor is revealed to be a demon hiding in the body of an ailing old man. As Drumm battles the demon, Doctor Doom appears and attacks him from behind. Doom demands that Drumm hand over the Eye. Doom believes that the oncoming darkness clouded the Eye's choice so that it would choose an ill prepared successor to Dr. Strange. Drumm refuses to believe that the Eye would choose Doom and the two remain locked in battle as they begin to fall through the Everdimensions. Doom finally grabs hold of the Eye but receives a vision which changes his mind about taking the Eye. Doom then abandons Drumm in a unknown dimension.

Comments: Doom punches Ghost Rider (issue #5)! Need I say more? I mean how cool is that. What more reason do you to pick up this neat little arc. True, Doom is mostly a cameo part, but he shines and steals the scene every time. Definitely highly recommended. Its rare enough to see Doom portrayed well when he is the main antagonist. Its a pleasure to read him written so well when he is just a supporting character. the art by Jefte Palo et al is also fantastic and very suited to the magic themed book like this. actually find his art reminiscent of Mike Mignola's, which is interesting seeing how we get the first reference to Triumph and Torment (drawn by Mignola) that I have seen in years. I don't usually rate cameos, but Doom has a significant part in issues 1 and 5, so Bottom Line: **** out of 5
