Time Platform:
Very early in his career, Doom perfected a method to travel through time. He housed his technology within a simple time platform that could be easily disguised by being built into any floor. It's exact workings are known only to Doom and has remained one of his most cherished secrets. He built his first prototype as an experiment for the US military during his time at state university. Years later, Doom used it in order to send three of the Fantastic Four into the past to retrieve Merlin's treasure chest. After Doom's defeat, this platform was confiscated by Reed Richards and held in his laboratory for safe keeping. Other platforms have arisen both in and out of Latveria over the years. Most notably one in the secret lab of Nathanial Richards indicating that he had invented the design before Doom. Unknown to anyone is the extent of Doom's explorations of time. It is known that Doom used the platform to visit WWII Germany where he observed the fall of the Reich first-hand. He is also known to visit the distant past to learn from mystics such as Cagliostro and makes frequent visits to the 11th century where he meets with the sorceress Morgana Le Fey. While previously dependant on the time platform (or at least on someone to operate the platform), in later years he has been seen with a time traveling device already built into his armor. This has provided him with much more freedom when traveling. The platform itself has been a nexus for events in other realities. In a dystopic future, the present day Hulk once used the platform to defeat a power mad future version of himself by transporting him to the gamma explosion which first gave birth to them both. In the possible future of 2099, Doom was seen to still be using the platform for space and time transport. Also, in a dimension where Captain America awoke in the present day and Bucky Barnes lived, an unscarred Victor von Doom perfected the platform so that the Red Skull's armies could conquer time itself. Others have operated the time-platform for their own purposes. Ben Grimm once travelled into the past to deliver a cure to his physical condition in an attempt to have the cure affect his present (it didn't, only spawned a divergent timeline). Reed Richards used the platform to obtain a DNA sample of Doom. Squirrel Girl used it in an attempt to bring an alternate Speedball back from the year 2099. Also the mutant Gambit used it to travel to London, 1891.
