Summary:
In search for his wife, Mary Jane, Spidey travels to Latveria and goes head
to head with an insane Doombot posing as the Latverian monarch.
Comments:
The Latverian people are oppressed AGAIN! Not a bad story, but it sort of toys
with continuity a little. In this story the robot Doom levels a good portion
of Latveria to ruins, an incident that is never alluded to in the following
issues of the FF where Reed comes posing as Doom. Of course you could say
that perhaps
that is why everyone is so happy to see Doom return in issue 30 of the FF.
I mean after what the robot did... The main problem with this story is that
it is yet another Doombot gone crazy story. The idea of Doombots who are
replicas of Doom is outdated. Doom himself should have scrapped the idea
since by now he should know that they are not reliable. These model Doombots
are quite obviously more trouble than they are worth.
