Summary:
After his recent defeat at the hands of the Fantastic Four, Doom seeks out Namor, the Sub-Mariner as an ally. By emphasizing mankind’s role in the destruction of Atlantis, Namor is swayed by Doom’s argument. The Atlantean then travels to the Baxter Building under the guise of peace. Suddenly the building is ripped from its foundations and launched into outer space. Namor reveals that it was Doom’s plan that he infiltrate their headquarters and place an anti-gravitational device in their midst. Slowly being rocketed towards the sun, the FF attempt to cross over to Doom’s ship with no success. Finally Namor recharges himself in the FF’s emergency water system and launches himself onto Doom’s ship. There he manages to throw Doom out of the ship and return the Baxter Building to its proper place. With everything returned to normal the FF are left to ponder whether Namor will return as friend or foe and what scheme Doom will produce next? Unbeknownst to them, a solitary armored figure floats motionless in the depths of space.
